Minnesota needs some capspace, some picks and a PG beyond this year. This trade would leave them with 23.7M to re-sign Naz Reid and NAW, and would put a younger, better-scoring PG out there to make up for the loss of KAT’s production.

Charlotte needs to acquire more talent in order to keep LaMelo from bolting next year, especially with the effect of the Bridges situation. This trade would certainly do that and still gives them a significant expiring next year in Conley, who would become the Hornets PG2 for a year. Plus they still have pick #2 to use or trade, and 60M in capspace for signing FAs.
